To celebrate the opening of the Greenfield Arts Centre, Newton Aycliffe, this sculpture evolved from the playful, creative, act of balancing blocks on top of each other.
The structure also refers to the distinctive hard-edged architecture of the nearby 1950's/60's housing, industrial units and factories of the Aycliffe Industrial Estate.
