Paul is exhibiting as part of All Systems Go, a group show bringing together a diverse group of artists who work in relation to physical and conceptual systems, which they have created or adapted as frameworks for artistic experimentation. Patterns, rules, collaborative techniques, interventions, mechanical systems and improvisation provide structured starting points which open up a multitude of possibilities for exciting artistic outcomes. This show is the latest in Departure Gallery’s acclaimed series of exhibitions and residencies on The International Trading Estate, Southall. The exhibition explores the contradictions and parallels between systematic experimentation in contemporary art and the industrial systems used in the factories and distribution units surrounding our vast warehouse space. The exhibition is open 7 days a week, 10am - 5pm at the Departure Gallery, 7 Trident Way, The International Trading Estate, Brent Road, Southall, UB2 5LF. |
